Friday Favorite: JY Park - You're the one

Friday Favorite : JY Park - You're the one

This week we'll be reviewing a bright love song 'You're the one' by JY Park. Although we aren't his biggest fans we loved this song, from the layout to his dance to his unique fashion sense. Let's start shall we??
This song is the second track from his new mini album "Spring - 5 songs for a new love". We love this song because its not produced as a ballad (not that we don't like ballads) despite being a love song; it gives off a fresh feeling. The song is an upbeat serenade to express JY Park's happy feeling of loving his other half. The song starts off with a nice piano melody and then the drum beats take over smoothly.

The mv doesn't feature a specific story line, it just shows him hanging out with girls he's not interested in and serenading the camera man lady of his life. In between the girls and the serenading, he shows off his fun dance moves. He isn't that young anymore but he sure can bust some moves. The main points of his dance are probably the cute little leg flicky-circles and the slanty-tilty move he does (reminds us a lot about Michael Jackson right~).
Slanty-tilty dance move (let us know if you came up with a better name for it)

Hop,hop,hop like a bunny
Where's the drummer gone to . . . ?
Found him!!. . . with JY Park's lady *awkward*

Apart from the song and the mv, his fashion really stood out for us. The clothes were very...different(?) and gave off a more showbiz vibe while at the same time making him look classy.
It's a very straightforward plot where we follow JYP around. We start off at his "house" where he is spending time with his girl and then we see a more different JYP on stage and living his life outside of Seoul. No matter where he goes or what he does, he only has eyes for his lady (whoever she may be). In the end, he shows us that he's loyal, trust-worthy and a good gentleman.(too bad he's an ahjussi for us~)

Ok...foreigners...do I shake their hand or hug..shake..hug...let's just settle for a pat.
This song is a change for JYP as he usually comes with strong and a more fierce concept. It shows his cuter side more and if you haven't seen his dance yet, you should definitely do so now. If you're used to JYP being a CEO and don't really know him for his music then this MV kind of makes you want to go:

Also for all those tentative viewers out there, be sure to check out the background dancers near the end of the MV. Their moves will surely give make your bad day turn around.

You guys can check out JY Park's song, dance, fashion and magic in his luxurious mv below (he was kind to have put the eng subs on for international fans):
